Tales of a Visionary
The first African-American to be artistic director at a French luxury fashion house, Abloh was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018. Abloh's design aesthetic which bridged streetwear and luxury clothing was described as transformative. Abloh launched his first company, Pyrex Vision as he had purchased deadstock clothing from Ralph Lauren, screen-printed designs on them and sold them. He closed the company down a year later as he did not intend it to be a commercial enterprise, but an artistic experiment. He also succeeded notably through his very own brand, Off White, by adding an intellectual layer to the streetwear ethos which made it credible and accepted within the luxury industry.

Abloh-isms
Defying categorization, Abloh’s work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at museums and galleries, most notably in a major retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Known for his graceful and eloquent frame of views on a wide range of subjects, including creativity, passion, innovation, race, and what it means to be an artist of his generation. Lively and thought-provoking, these projects reflect Abloh’s unique perspective as a trailblazer in his fields. Abba Exchange will release an exclusive Limited Edition Capsule collection in honor of the late icon at a date to be announced.
